A few, overlapping cool photos - for now, close-ups of items. The Museum store derives its inspiration from Claremont artistic traditions, as well as national and international artists. Merchandise is driven by a modern aesthetic in art and design that became apparent during the 1950-1960s and continues to the present day.

The store offers something for everyone. A lively children's section features activity kits, art supplies, colorful books, games, and sculptural toys. High-design house wares and decor catch the eyes of the sophisticated decorator, collector, or art-lover. An eclectic assortment of bags, tees, hats, and jewelry appeals to all ages.

For the conscious consumer, there are handbags made from old inner tubes with hose handles, brightly colored baskets woven in Africa from discarded telephone wire, and distinctive doormats made from rubber leftover from the manufacturing of beach sandals.

A boxed set of note cards, a DVD, an exhibition catalog, and exhibition poster are featured in conjunction with the inaugural exhibition, A Conversation with Color: Karl Benjamin, Paintings 1953-1995.

Store Hours: Open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and until 8 p.m. the first Friday of every month.

Closed: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
